-A hidden masterpiece written by a famous manga artist alone-
Yoshihiro Togashi. 1966-. Manga artist, known for works such as Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter.
This is a three-volume manga series considered a hidden gem by Yoshihiro Togashi. Set in Yamagata Prefecture, it's a science fiction manga with strong occult elements and an alien theme. The story unfolds in an anthology format, centering on the pranks that the prince of Planet Dogra pulls out to pass the time after arriving on Earth.
This work was created between Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter, and apparently Togashi created it all by himself without using any assistants. The main character, the prince, has androgynous features that make it difficult to tell at first glance whether he is male or female, which doubles the mysterious element of him being an alien. He has a similar vibe to Kurapika from Hunter x Hunter, and is very appealing.
The prince is a Dogra alien, and there are also aliens called Magra aliens. Apparently, the names are taken from Kyusaku Yumeno's Dogra Magra, which I posted about previously. When you find out the sources of the references in a work like this, reading becomes even more enjoyable.
In recent years, UFO information has been coming to light, and I think it would be fun if there were aliens like Prince. I'd also like to read "Ami, the Little Alien," with Momoko Sakura on the cover, but the price has skyrocketed and I can't afford it. Tokuma Bunko, can't you do something about it!
Level E has been adapted into an anime. If you're an Amazon Prime member, please check it out!
Thank you for reading. Goodbye for now. Take care :)
